My name is Basie Martins. I trust that you are all well and I want to thank you again for listening to this series. For you who do not know, this series is about dreams and visions.
In the previous session, we discussed the meanings of clothes and the meanings of vehicles. Both of these symbols represent different aspects of human beings. We also looked at the differences between these groups of symbols.
In today’s session, we are discussing the symbolic meanings of houses and people in dreams and visions and also the differences between these symbols. We know that both these symbols represent human beings but we need to be able to distinguish between the different purposes and principles between these groups of symbols. Let’s see what the Bible says about houses:
1 Corinthians 3:9
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. So in this verse, we are compared to a building.
1 Peter 2:5
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. In this verse we are called a spiritual house.
4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. In this verse we are called the house of Christ.
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
In most cases, a house in dreams and visions symbolizes the human heart or the condition of the soul of a specific person. The reason for this is because the conditions of our souls and emotional restoration dreams determine what we dream. Most people experience emotional restoration dreams and that is why people dream a lot about houses or being inside a house.
We are spiritual houses as the Scriptures that I mentioned declares. Each room in the house symbolizes a different aspect of our inner being. For instance, the sitting room symbolizes personal social situations or social relationships in our lives. The bedroom symbolizes the personal and private aspects and situations in our lives.
Sometimes we dream of the outside areas of houses as well. The exterior condition of the house and the garden speak of the condition of the heart as well. What is in the heart of a man can be perceived by people just by observing his actions and conduct. In dreams, the outside condition of a house also tells us what is in the heart of the person it represents. It tells us what the condition of the soul is. A “heart” in dreams and visions symbolizes the soul and not the spirit of man. The spirit of man is symbolized by the “Stomach” or “Belly.” So when a heart symbolizes the soul it speaks of the following: the will and emotions and the motivation of a person in the fleshly realm. In this sense, unlike the brain which is the intellectual side of the soul, the heart symbolizes the soul of a person in terms of the emotional, the will and the motivational side of the soul of a person.
When David prayed that God must search his heart to see if there is any sin or wrong motivation hidden in the dark corners of his heart, he was referring to his soul and not his spirit. Our spirits are always in harmony with the Spirit of God. The problem is with our souls. Our souls are always in rebellion against God or always want to resist the Holy Spirit.
Our spirits always want to do the right thing. It always wants to do good. It always wants to obey God and it always does. It always attempts to convince the soul to be obedient. It never forces the soul but the moment the soul allows the spirit to convince it to accept God’s will and to do God’s will, the will and the laws of God are being established in the soul like it already is established in the spirit. However, when the soul ignores the spirit and does what it wants, the spirit accepts it and will never attempt to force the soul. However, it does not partake in the sins of the soul (1 John 3:9 – Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God).
When the soul sins the spirit is dormant (Roman 7:15 – For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I). The human spirit does not sin when the soul sins. It stays obedient to God and is therefore always in harmony with God. Whenever the soul obeys the will of God, it opens the door for the Holy Spirit to move into our lives. The soul (heart) links the body with the spirit. The soul (heart) is, therefore, the gate between the natural and the spiritual realms. Why are houses so prominent in dreams and visions? Because the condition of the soul determines our spiritual growth, development, and success. If our souls are obedient we grow. When our souls are disobedient our spiritual condition is bad. Our spirits are saved and we will be OK when we die or when God comes. We will not lose our salvation but it is the soul who determines the condition of our spiritual lives in terms of holiness or obedience in our lives.
Emotions are very important to us. We are very much aware of the good and the bad emotions in our hearts. Emotions are situated in our souls. When we are sensing a very warm and pleasant feeling or good emotions in our souls we often touch our hearts with our hands. It feels so good that we are often mistaking our hearts for our spirits instead of our souls. The human spirit is not so much emotionally driven. It is moved and guided by the word of God, which is spiritual food for the spiritual stomach, our spirits) and not so much by emotions. So when we observe houses in dreams and visions we observe the conditions of our hearts or our souls. In this sense, the outside and the inside of houses tells us a lot about the condition of our souls.
The back of the house is the past and the front of the house is the present or future. The backyard is his past life and the front yard the present or future life. The whole yard symbolizes a person’s personal life situations (past, present, and future).
Furniture symbolizes all the spiritual equipment and tools that we need in our spiritual hearts to make things organized and easy or convenient for us. Furniture in dreams and visions speaks of spiritual aids that help us maintain our spiritual conditions or wellness. A closet or a drawer or a cupboard or a suitcase speaks of the condition our spiritual preparedness (clothes) are stored. If our clothes are new and beautiful and white or purple or blue (all positive colors) it speaks of us being prepared for life and ministry in a good positive way. If the cupboards and drawers are new and beautiful and white and blue and gold it speaks of us protecting (caring) our clothes (preparedness for ministry) in a good responsible way. Dark, brown, broken, black, old, red, yellow, dirty furniture in a chaotic condition (house not clean and furniture not maintained) speaks of our hearts (inner being – souls) in a bad, unprotected and chaotic spiritual condition (backsliding, no spiritual growth or development). So the meaning of clothing is also related to houses by the furniture and equipment that we find in houses.
In another sense, houses and buildings in dreams symbolize churches, congregations or the institutional church. The interior and the exterior conditions of the house reveal the condition of the church or the congregation. Houses, in this sense, typically symbolizes house churches or small congregations. The bigger institutional churches or denominations are symbolized by the extended or bigger version of houses and that is multilevel buildings. Global denominations and even the global church, in general, are symbolized by impressive skyscrapers.
I want to give you a few examples or scenarios about dreaming of houses to give you an indication of how to interpret such dreams and visions.
For instance, it is very common for parents to dream about their children in a dim sitting room with spider webs or large thin spiders making webs and floating in the air by hanging on the threads that they have produced. It is important to observe how the children act in these dreams. This type of dream is a warning or an informative dream. It tells the parents that the thought pattern of their children or the ideas of their children cause them to be entangled and caught in the confusion of their own ideas or thoughts. It also speaks of the fruitlessness of a person’s own works based on ideas and thoughts instead of the word of God and the thoughts of God. People with this kind of attitude are people who, at the time of the dream, are not interested in righteousness. They tend to be passive when it comes to spiritual matters and they are constantly avoiding the truth. They usually have no desire to change or to renew their minds according to the word of God. For people like this to be delivered from this carnal and evil mindset, these thought patterns need to be removed and these people need to repent. So God shows the parents what is going on in the hearts or souls of their children.
It is also not uncommon for people to dream about them being in a house, moving from one room to the other whilst they are interacting with people in each room. One woman had a dream of her interacting with a very well-known television personality who is involved with the renovation of houses in real life. In the same dream, she was interacting with a hairdresser in another room or scene of the dream. In both scenes, the condition of her hair and the condition of the house were sub-standard and needed repair or renovation or fixing. In these types of dreams, God is showing people that the conditions of their hearts or souls or “inner rooms” need attention. It is usually a call for repentance and dedication and commitment. God wants to lead us into holiness and He wants to restore our souls.
Dreaming of the plumbing of the house leaking somewhere causing a lack of running water in the bathrooms or toilets speaks of a person not allowing the Holy Spirit or the word of God to move him or her to repent (in the case of a bathroom or basin symbol in the dream) or to get rid of emotional garbage and sins like bitterness and hate (in case of a toilet as a symbol in dreams and visions). It speaks of a person not being in a position to be obedient to God in this regard because of his attitude. This reveals the condition of a person’s heart or soul regarding the word of God or the workings of the Holy Spirit.
A woman once told me that she had a dream of human feces slowly but steadily leaking from somewhere above the house that she found herself in the dream. It was unknown where the feces were leaking from. In the dream, she noticed that the feces were yellowish of color and it kept running slowly down the walls. She attempted to wash it off from the walls but that made her very tired and it was almost useless as new feces kept slowly running down. In the dream, she suspected that the toilet upstairs is blocked or leaking. We know that in dreams a toilet is used to get delivered from emotional sins caused by bitterness or hate or jealousy. It involves repentance and forgiveness. Feces is supposed to be flushed away in a toilet but if it is leaking into a house it means that a person is causing problems for other people because of the emotional garbage in his or her life. In this case, the husband of this woman influenced the heart or the soul of this woman in a very bad way. He was constantly dumping his emotional garbage on her. It was tiring this woman out and it made life difficult for her. The yellowish color of the feces symbolized that this was all about this man being consumed with emotions and the sin of jealousy in his life. It might be in general but it can also be about a specific situation.
Dreaming of the presence of evil forces in certain areas of our houses, like inside the walls or corners of specific rooms, tells us that we are being influenced by evil spirits and that we need to cast these spirits away from us.
A special area in a house with a swimming pool tells us about the workings and the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. It tells us about the condition of our souls in this regard.
A person I know had a dream of him sleeping on a bed right in front of the pulpit of a church. In the dream, he had a bottle of whiskey in his hand. So when he was awake he slowly drank some of the whiskey out of the bottle and then he falls asleep again with the whiskey still in his hand. He eventually felt awkward and exposed in the dream because everybody saw him in this condition there right in front of the church. He knew that him sleeping and drinking alcohol especially in public is not right. At one stage he decided to get out of the bed and he walked out of the congregation. On his way out he threw the half-full bottle of whiskey into a rubbish can.
This dream is about this man allowing himself to be under the influence of the institutional church. I am referring here to the false doctrines and man-made religious acts and ways and doctrines that the Orthodox-Roman Catholic church implemented in the church. I am not referring to the institutional church in general or to the spiritual and good part of the institutional church. This man was under the influence of the church leaders who promoted these false teachings symbolized by the whiskey right there in front of the pulpit. This caused him to fall into a spiritual sleep or spiritual condition of ignorance or inactivity symbolized by the bed. With this dream, this man was informed of the bad condition of his soul and that he needed to get out of the situation and that he needed to be influenced by the Holy Spirit and not by human spirits.
Another person I know had a dream about an old house with a bit of an untidy yard right around the house. The backyard was not properly maintained and the front yard was not properly maintained as well. The back yard was huge with a lot of trees and plants and a lawn but this family relied on three little miniature horses to keep the lawn in a good condition and that did not really work. There were some flowers around the house but it grew wild and disorderly. The family spent a lot of time in the back yard. The front yard was very small and consisted mostly of concrete. The miniature horses walked in the front yard as well gracing on the small piece of lawn. The house was old and needed a lot of attention although it had a lot of character and although it was fairly neat and tidy on the inside. Even the furniture was old.
This dream exposed the spiritual condition of this family. At the time of this dream, they were living in the past, symbolized by the huge back yard and them spending all their time there. It also suggested that they used to have a love relationship with God but not so much any more symbolized by the small front yard which speaks of the present and the future compared to the huge backyard symbolizing the past. Flowers symbolized praise and worship so it is there but it reflects a lack of commitment and discipline in this area symbolized by the flowers growing wild and not properly maintained. The fact that the garden is not maintained speaks of the absence of care and commitment regarding the love relationship that they have with God and probably with their spiritual family as well. They did not care too much for this aspect of their faith-walk with Christ. Them relying on miniature horses to maintain the garden speaks of them relying on their own power and ability to keep good love relationships with God and with other people. So these are good people but the best of their spiritual lives and spiritual experiences are long gone. They have been backsliding a lot and their spiritual condition deteriorated a lot since they started to follow Jesus Christ years ago. The neat and tidy house on the inside speaks of their souls not in too bad of a condition spiritually but the outdated furniture speaks of them hanging onto old spiritual experiences and ways and not new fresh ones. They did not renew their minds and their souls.
Now, let us look at the principles when people are symbolized by other people in dreams and visions.
The big difference between male and female symbols are the following. Observing a man in dreams and visions is all about the message that this man brings to people. Observing a woman in dreams and visions is all about a living organism like the church, a congregation, a nation, the bride of Christ or a specific woman. With both, there are good messengers and bad messengers and there are good churches or congregations and nations and the true bride of Christ and bad churches or congregations and nations and even a false bride of Christ.
These differences can be exposed or displayed by the clothes they are wearing but the most important aspect in this regard is the color of their skin.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
The human race was created in the image of God and was also appointed to be the rulers of this earth. Man was instructed to subdue everything according to the will and the ways of God. Therefore, Christians are the ambassadors of God. They have the word of God in their hearts and they are carriers of the will of God.
It is quite common for God to send people to other people with messages and instructions. A man in dreams, therefore, symbolizes a messenger from God with a message from God. This might be a real person. It might even be the person in the dream or vision. This messenger might be a preacher or another Christian worker. In some cases, the messenger in the dream might even be an imaginary messenger. In such a case, the dream is about the message and not really the messenger. The presence of a man (messenger) in such a dream is then purely to describe or to expose the authenticity of the message. It means that the white man that gave you the message in the dream is from God and that he delivers a true and a good message.
Unfortunately, though, some men are not messengers from God but in fact messengers from satan or representing themselves, with deceiving messages or lies or erroneous opinions and doctrines. As I said, in dreams and visions, the type of messages (whether it is true or false or bad or good) is symbolized by the skin colors of the messengers. It has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with color.
A white man in dreams and visions symbolizes a person (with a message from God), of faith or victory or righteousness or holiness or truth. Please take note that in real life, in the kingdom of God, people of other races do not differ from white people at all. People of color are not evil and they are not satan’s messengers. In dreams, it is all about colors.
What is the meaning of a white man raping someone?
A white man in dreams and visions raping someone symbolizes a person who wants to forcefully move people to believe his doctrines. It speaks of a person who tries his best to persuade someone in believing certain doctrines. In this case, the doctrines are the truth. It is firmly established in this man’s spirit and that is why it is in his seed. It is part of his spiritual DNA. However, such a person should never force these doctrines on people even though these doctrines are true. People should be free to believe Biblical doctrines without any pressure from other people.
A rich man in dreams and visions symbolizes a man rich in the word of God and rich in terms of spiritual blessings and spiritual belongings and inheritance.
A black man symbolizes a messenger (from the enemy or a messenger with his own opinion) with a false message of unbelief or evil or lies. Please take note that in real life, in the kingdom of God, black people do not differ from white people at all. Black people are not evil and they are not satan’s messengers. In dreams, it is all about colors. A black man in a dream may symbolize the situation in the life of a white man or a white woman or a black man or a black woman or any other race or gender who is spreading a false message of unbelief or false doctrines. It has nothing to do with race or gender but everything to do with the authenticity of a message.
Please take note that a black man in dreams in visions does not always speak of a false message of unbelief, evil or lies. Sometimes it represents a literal black man, most of the time, literally the person in the dream or vision, in which case, the color black does not mean anything. In such a case it is about the natural person and the meaning of the color of the person should not be considered. The same can be said for Asians, Indians, a white man or a man of any other race. For this reason, we always need to pray about this aspect to determine the meanings of different races in dreams and visions.
A friend of my wife, Tanya, once had a dream of her working in her garden. Whilst she was working she suddenly saw a black man who climbed over the fence to gain entry to her garden. In the dream, the black man threw her to the ground and started to rape her. She was very upset about the dream. I immediately asked her if she was involved in an argument about a specific doctrine the day before. She immediately confirmed that she was. About a week before this incident, a person who she had great respect for taught her about God’s view about generational curses. After this person used the Bible and great wisdom to teach her and to prove to her why this doctrine is a false doctrine, she pondered about it the whole week. She was eventually convinced to change her view on this subject. She could see, based on the word of God, and the fact that God got involved with this specific argument in the book of Ezekiel, that she had been believing a false doctrine for many years. She did mention this to a friend. The following day, her friend and another person visited her. The other person began to teach her that generational curses are a reality and she attempted to convince her about this fact. When she realized that Tanya is not convinced about her view on the subject, she became more and more agitated and peppery. She tried everything to convince Tanya to accept her view about the subject but she refused. They decided to stop arguing about the subject and soon after this these woman left. So the black man in the dream represented this woman with a bad and erroneous message. The fact that the black man climbed over the fence speaks of these women arriving at Tanya’s residence uninvited. The rape symbolizes this woman’s attitude of attempting to force a person to accept her view on the subject.
In another dream someone had, this man was visited by a white man with long red disorderly hair. This man walked from the right to the left in the visionary field of the dream. The day after this incident a person visited my friend to give him advice about a project that he was busy with. Just after this person left he remembered the dream about the man with the red hair. He instantly knew that although the person in the dream was a white man, the color and the condition of his hair were warnings. He had no problem with what the man discussed with him. He, however, suspected that this man had a hidden motivation regarding the project. Long disorderly red hair speaks of a person who has a lot of uncontrollable thoughts of hate or bitterness or jealousy. This man immediately knew that he needed to be cautious when dealing with this man during the specific project. It was obvious that this person could cause trouble because of something or someone also involved in the project that could cause a lack of good and sound judgment with this person. Whatever happened between them had nothing to do with the project at all.
I once had a dream or a short vision of about a second about a friend of mine who used to be in full-time ministry. This person decided to divorce his wife. He believed that it was God’s will for him to divorce his wife just as it was God’s will for Kathryn Kuhlman to divorce her husband. I told him that I do not believe that it is God’s will for him to divorce and that I do not believe that it was God’s will for Kathryn Kuhlman to divorce her husband. It might not have been his will for both of them to marry the people they did. That I might agree with. Anyway, I haven’t heard from him for quite a few months when I had this short vision. In the vision, I saw him standing there looking at me. He was clothed in filthy and torn rags and he did not look good. I immediately knew that he represented himself in this vision and that it was not a message but an indication of his spiritual condition. It was bad and I knew I had to pray for him.
A man once had a dream of a white man giving him a coin made of gold. He put the coin in his mouth and swallowed it. This man wanted to swallow the coin but he was not sure if he should or wanted to do that. When he swallowed the coin it diverted from his throat to his chest. It slowly moved away from inside his throat to his chest and it was eventually right beneath his skin. His skin became very loose and he could push and work the coin down to an area between his heart and his stomach. It was however just underneath his skin and he pulled it out and threw it away without even bleeding, so thin and dry his skin was. I asked this man whether somebody talked to him about the power of the spoken word especially concerning the children of God possessing power in their tongues. I explained to him that when we speak the word of God in faith we have the power to call things into existence. I also explained to him that we cannot say whatever we want to because life or death is in the tongue.
Apart from God, Christians are the only living beings that can do that. We were made according to the image of God and we are God’s children and that is why we possess this power. He told me that he has heard that explanation many times before and that he never believed it to be true. It is still hard for him to believe that it is true. I told him that the reason why he had the dream is God showing him that he just does not want to believe this truth and that is why he could not get it swallowed and into his stomach which is his spirit.
The different colors of different people in dreams and visions are very significant. Each color and each gradation of skin color in a dream or a vision changes the meaning of the dream. It changes the messages that these people bring. It has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with color. The type of message is determined by the skin color of the messenger but also by the clothes they wear. Take note of the following skin colors of messengers in dreams and visions: Black, black-brown, black-red, brown, brown-yellow, copper-red, light brown, dark brown, white, yellow and so on. The different gradations symbolize a mixture of the colors it represents.
See “Colors in dreams and visions” for a better understanding of this symbol.
For instance, a black man with a reddish undertone in his skin color, in dreams and visions, symbolizes a message which is or cause, unbelief or depression or fear or evil or separation from God (symbolized by the color black), and anger or conflict or hate or division or dissension (symbolized by the color red). It represents a bad messenger with a bad message.
What is the meaning of the face of man? This is what the Bible says about the face of man.
And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
A person’s face in dreams and visions speaks of a person’s personality. One can see the personality of a person on his face like the verses above suggest. Different symbols on the face, like an insect or a sore or facial hair on a person’s face, reveal more information regarding the specific person’s personality and actions. Remember, personality determines or exposes specific actions.
Now let us discuss the meanings of different women in dreams and visions:
A woman in dreams and visions symbolizes the church or a congregation or the bride of Christ if she is dressed in a wedding gown, or a female person, usually the person in the dream or the vision.
Pastors dreaming of their wives speak of them dreaming of the congregations that they pastor.
Take note of the conditions of the women, the clothes they wear and the different acts and attitudes of such women when you dream about them or when you see them in visions. All these details will reveal more information about the spiritual conditions of churches and congregations or even about the woman themselves if they represent themselves in the dream or vision.
A black woman in dreams and visions symbolizes a church or a congregation who is false, promiscuous or negative or unrighteous. It speaks of the members of such a church being filled with unbelief or depression or being involved in unfaithful behavior by seeking or pursuing other religious ways and methods in acquiring salvation.
Of course, the black woman in the dream may be literal and therefore not representing somebody else or something else in which case the color of the woman must not be considered.
The different colors of different people in dreams and visions are very significant. Each color and each gradation of skin color in a dream or a vision changes the meaning of the dream. In this sense, the woman’s color changes the condition of the church or congregation. It has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with color. The condition of the church or congregation is determined by the skin color of the woman but also by the clothes they wear. Take note of the following gradation of skin colors of women in dreams and visions: Black, black-brown, black-red, brown, brown-yellow, copper-red, light brown, dark brown, white, yellow and so on. The different gradations symbolize a mixture of the colors it represents.
See “Colors in dreams and visions” for a better understanding of this symbol.
For instance, a woman with brown skin with a yellow undertone, in dreams and visions, symbolizes a congregation that harbors people who are full of selfish ambitions or fleshly desires or strife and sin (brown) and hatred or jealousy or blasphemy (yellow). Check the meanings of the different colors in this dictionary and apply this principle when interpreting the meanings of dreams and visions.
A white woman in dreams and visions symbolizes a church or congregation who is true, pure, righteous and faithful to Christ.
In another sense, the woman may be literal and not representing something else or someone else.
So what is the difference between houses and people when it represents people in dreams and visions? Houses represent the condition of the soul or the heart of a person or family or even a church or congregation. So even the condition of the “soul” or the “heart” of the congregation can be symbolized by a house. The “soul” of the congregation is the condition of the congregation as a corporate unit and it reflects the true condition of the church or the congregation.
Please take note that people in dreams and visions, men or women, can represent evil or demonic spirits. These symbols do not always represent people but can represent evil spirits. The following dream will explain this aspect of dreams and visions interpretation: This dream was a sepia-colored or “brown” hue, dark like background. In the firsts scene, our family (all adult members) and some friends were all on a horseback ride. I was not with them but was watching from a cabin-like homestead. I could see them coming down a slope at the far end of our acreage. All of the family members on horseback were “ponying” a very specific horse (guiding another horse by a lead rope). They all seemed to be protecting the rider of that horse who was a boy around the age of ten. The strange thing was the boy was riding the horse backward with his body facing the back of the horse. They were all going very slowly and carefully as not to allow the boy to fall off of the horse. Even the horse seemed to be very careful and gentle with the boy.
In the next scene of the dream, the whole family was inside the cabin. We were hanging around the fireplace and there seemed to be this sense of fear looming. It was still dark and ashy like outside, and brown. There was dried grass and dirt out on the field. It was like death. We heard a noise like someone’s boots and the sound of spurs walking on the wood planking outside the front of the house. It was like an old western movie. I carefully looked out the window and saw a group of riders on horseback. You could tell they were bad guys, a gang.
The family members inside were scared and begged me not to look out of the window. I told them to be quiet and it would all be okay. Then there was a knock on the door. I started to open the door because I knew I could deal with whoever it was, but the family begged me not to open the door. I whispered to them to be very quiet and to pray. I opened the door and then closed the door behind me onto the front porch. It was a man in a black cowboy hat, like an outlaw, and black vest and boots. His hair dark and greasy and was untidy and he had a scruffy face.
The first thing I said to him very confidently was “What do you want?” I had a shotgun with me. He smiled an evil smile and I could see his teeth were rotten and there was a stench coming from his mouth. He replied ” We came for the kid”, and I answered “Well you can’t have him and he isn’t here”, He said,” We know he’s here.” I said ” So what if he is? You need to leave.” He smiled again, trying to intimidate me and I said “Tell you what, you and your guys can leave now or I can blow your head off with this shotgun,” He said ” You and what army?” I said, ” The one inside this house praying right now”.
He immediately left and so did all of his men.
This dream turned out to be about a family who almost lost a ten-year-old child who was extremely sick. This lady had the dream whilst the boy was in the hospital. The whole family prayed for this child and they stopped this demonic attack in its tracks by the actions of especially the woman with the shotgun. The shotgun represented the word of God. So by declaring the word of God these demonic attackers were fended off.
It is important to understand that demonic attackers are not fended off by charging and fighting these evil spirits. They are fended off by trusting in God and by standing on his word. It is the truth that defeats the enemy. It is a battle of faith. It is all about trust. It is not about the enemy. It is about resting in God. It is about speaking to things, calling things into existence. It is not about dealing with the disease. It is about calling healing and health into existence.
This is all for today. In the next session, we will discuss the meanings of random symbols in dreams and visions in general.
Thanks for listening. See you next time.
