Hi Fully Restored,
My experience is that family members can represent themselves in dreams and visions, but, most of the time, they are representing your spiritual family. The closer the family member the closer they are in your life. For instance, dreaming of a cousin may speak of a Christian in another denomination even from another country. Dreaming of your brother speaks of a Christian in your own congregation. Dreaming of a sister may speak of female Christians who are close to you.
It also speaks of a person who is and who behaves very similar to you because of them having the same parents (God the Father and the Holy Spirit. We are like our Father and spiritually we have been born of the Spirit)
For some reason, we tend to dream about the same people, even a person who is not really family, but an extended family member (like a brother-in-law) that we have respect for. It is as if such people become family. I know of a man who loves and respects his brother-in-law a lot. He sometimes dreams of this brother-in-law as his father in dreams and visions. This happened quite a few times.
