Hi Smidge,

I think you are right about the trigger of the dream. It is all about the book that you have read about this subject. This dream was advice that counters the content of the book and is aimed at bringing more balance regarding the subject.

Your brother in the dream symbolizes fictitious messengers of God. It represents those men of God who know the word of God. This means that this dream is a message from God. The dream plays off in the kitchen. In dreams and visions, a kitchen represents the place where doctrines are prepared (spiritual food). God chose to use your brother because He wants you to realize that the family of Christ has your best interest at heart. The fact that your brother requested you not to argue with him is an indication that you may not agree with him and the word of God that he placed on the counter. Everything is done in a good spirit, even cheerfully. God is not cross with you but you do need to understand this message.

Banknotes symbolize the written word of God. So your brother (messenger of God) is advising you to focus on the word of God. His placing it on the counter represents him challenging you in this regard. You looking at the bill and seeing it becoming bigger emphasizes the fact that you should focus on God’s word and not on the book.

Your mother is also there in the kitchen and so this emphasizes that this advice was Holy Spirit-led. The Holy Spirit is in on this.

In dreams and visions, the number two symbolizes agreement and union. The number two is the number of witness and testimony. It speaks of unity. This means that you must come into an agreement with the word of God. The number 20 has the same meaning but with a lot more emphasis on this.

It is only when we embrace the true word of God that we come into agreement with it. When this happens, we are in unity with God and his word and this brings balance to our lives.

In dreams and visions, the number five symbolizes fruitfulness. It symbolizes God’s grace to men. The number five speaks of the blessings of God which speak of life.

In dreams and visions, the number fifty is a symbol of freedom and liberty, and restoration.

God loves all sinners. He loves the thief and He loves the adulterer and He loves gay people, but He does not accept and condone their lifestyles.

This is how God feels about them and this is how the church should feel about people like this:

Leviticus 20:13 If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.

1 Timothy 5:20 As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear. (New Testament)

2 John 1:11 for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds. (New Testament)

Luke 3:19 John also publicly criticized Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee, for marrying Herodias, his brother’s wife, and for many other wrongs he had done.

The church was not quiet when it comes to sin. They publicly condemned it and they did not even greet people who were involved in sin. This is what God still expects from us. However, we do it in a holy and Biblical way. We do it in love and there should not be any grey areas here. We should not fear people and we should preach the gospel of Christ. We should call people to repent. They must know that their lifestyles are leading them to eternal condemnation but they should know that there is hope. God loves them and if they repent they will not go astray. We should also love them but we cannot accommodate them in any way in the church.

All of us, no matter what we did, will all have to realize that we were born in sin and that we are inherently bad. Babies start to sin almost immediately. We are never innocent. We have no excuse. A young kid who made an early decision to embrace a gay lifestyle is inherently bad. Yes, the poor kids are exposed to a lot of bad influences and pressure in this regard but at the end of the day, we all have a choice. We can choose life and we can choose the blessings of God.

Such a kid has only one option, repent or he will be condemned eternally. His lifestyle is an abomination before God and he has no excuse.

This is the truth. This is the word of God. But there is hope and the church should help such people to meet Christ.

I do not know whether the book is wrong or not but I do know that God wants you to embrace his word. This is very clearly the message of this dream
