Hi Jennifer. First of all, I speak peace over you. Jesus paid for that. I have not had the turmoil of waiting for a husband, I have however, known the struggle of believing for my children. But they are manifestations of the Promise. My daughter is 14 and my son 7. With that being said, I stood on the scripture that God gives me the desires of my heart as I delight myself in Him. All of God’s promises are Yes, and Amen in Jesus. As a matter of fact, Jesus is the one speaking at this time according to Hebrews. It said that, yes, God did speak through Prophets in the old covenant but has spoken now through His Son. Jesus paid for total restoration. I believe the biggest thing God wants to do in us, is reveal the reason for our longings. Yes, I believe He wants you to marry because He’s promised two are better than one. But Paul also addresses marital issues in 1 Corinthians 7. When we are married, we seek to please our spouse and it’s hard to be devoted to the Lord more so than when we are single. To say that God is speaking to you that it will be three years, I would say is possible. Only because God meets us where WE are at. Things could be sooner as we get our faith in line. I know God has spoken some dates and times to me that looking back I could have received sooner, had I been in faith.
Just stay close to Jesus. Submit to Him and resist the enemy’s lies that you won’t find or have a husband. When you get your mind off of the problem and onto God, you will see the manifestation! I have heard recently that David gazed at God and glanced at Goliath! In the meantime, pray for other marriages. Sow that seed! I’ll be exited to hear your testimony.
