Important information regarding numbers

The numbers from 1 to 13 in dreams and visions are the basic numbers with spiritual significance and are, therefore, the most important numbers in dreams and visions. The meanings of these numbers are not altered in multiples of these numbers but, the symbolical truths of these numbers are intensified by the relevant multiples.

Numbers with a positive meaning are usually observed in dreams and visions in the following colors: Silver, gold, white, purple, green, amethyst, and blue.

Numbers with a negative meaning are observed in dreams and visions in the following colors: Brown, orange, black, pink, yellow, green, pale green, gray, very dark colors, and red.

The color green can be a bit confusing for it can, in a positive sense, symbolize prosperity or financial or spiritual blessings or, in a negative sense, symbolize soulish or fleshly intellectual reasoning.

Take note that there is sometimes no indication of whether a number is negative or positive in dreams and visions. We need the help of the Holy Spirit to reveal to us whether numbers are negative or positive if it is not revealed by means of colors. Sometimes the meanings of the other symbols help us to identify numbers as negative or positive, although it is not always the case.

In some cases, each individual number in a dream or a vision forms part of a little puzzle which emphasizes and highlights the meanings of other symbols in the particular dream or vision.

For instance, a person I know once had a dream of him driving to a specific town. In the dream, he stopped at a gas station in a rural area to fill up his vehicle. After filling up the vehicle he stretched his legs a bit. In the dream, this person suddenly realized that he needed to travel or cover another 162 kilometers to reach the town, which is called “Windhoek” in Afrikaans. A direct translation of the name is “Windcorner” or “Place where the wind hits a corner” or something similar, indicating that the wind meets resistance in this place or the wind is deviated by something at this place.

This man was not a Christian at the time of this dream. Some symbols in the dream, which I did not mention above, indicated that he was relying on his own efforts to achieve salvation. It was clear that his time was running out and that he was reaching a dead end. Just for the purpose of explaining the meanings of the numbers in this dream, I am not going to discuss the other symbols in the dream.

When I interpreted the dream, I immediately realized that the meanings of numbers 1 and 6 and 2 were to be individually applied in the interpretation and not the number 162. To explain it as briefly as possible, this man needed to deal with 1 (a negative 1 symbolizes independence or disunity or separation from God) and 6 (a negative 6 symbolizes man’s will and the willingness of man in a negative sense) and 2 (a negative 2 symbolizes disagreement and division).

This dream was a warning. This man had to deal with these issues before he reached that town. If he gets into an agreement with God and if he lives in unity with God and other people when he enters that town, he will be fine, but, if he does not, he will experience a sudden change in his life which will have serious consequences for him.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

In dreams and visions, the number fifty is a symbol of freedom and liberty and restoration. The number five symbolizes fruitfulness fertility. It symbolizes God’s grace to men in terms of provision and financial and spiritual blessings. Ten times five (50) speaks of the year of jubilation. The 50th Jubilee year is connected with the 50th day of Shavuot (Pentecost). This speaks of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit which speaks of the ultimate fruitfulness, provision, freedom, liberty, and restoration: When we dream about water it symbolizes the results of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and or financial blessings in our lives. Rain saturates the earth (ground) and (underground storage – feeding lakes, fountains, and boreholes) and it gives the source of life to all plants and other living organisms that are enabling man and all other living organisms to live and to prosper. Water is, therefore, the primary source of life and blessings.

The spiritual realm depends on the outpouring of the Holy Spirit just as the natural realm depends on rain. It is the spiritual rain of the Holy Spirit that is the source of all spiritual life and spiritual blessings. Demons and unsaved people have no life in them and are spiritually dead. Unsaved people do enjoy temporary financial blessings. They, however, loose even that when they die.

This is why water is the main and primary symbol for either financial blessings or spiritual blessings. This is why the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost symbolizes freedom, liberty, and restoration.

True freedom and liberty and restoration are all about financial and spiritual blessings.

Why is Dreams not Among Nine Gifts of Spirit

A mark on a person or a group of people (especially on the foreheads and hands) in dreams and visions symbolizes a unique sign or distinction or identification. These marks can represent good or bad conditions. These marks can differ (different symbols like 666 or the Name of Jesus or any other name or symbol). These symbols in the dream or vision will shed more light on the details of the particular distinction or identification.

When a Christian dreams that he is confronted to receive the mark of the beast, it speaks of him being involved with circumstances that he is not comfortable with. It can even speak of a Christian who feels that he is a backslider and that his spiritual condition is lukewarm. People who are not happy with their spiritual condition might dream that they are in danger of receiving the mark of the beast. Such a dream is a call for repentance and commitment.
