Rabbit

A rabbit in dreams and visions symbolizes a person who tends to fear spiritual and natural situations and challenges in his life. Such a person struggles to overcome fear through faith. 1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

Rain symbolizes spiritual or physical blessings from God. God allows it to rain on all people, good or bad. In this sense, rain speaks of financial or spiritual blessings from God although we did not work for it. A good rainfall, which is an undeserved blessing from God guarantees a good harvest. We receive those blessing through grace.

Rain symbolizes financial blessings but it also symbolizes spiritual blessings which are the word and the Spirit of God. The word changes us and the Spirit of God changes us. These two, the word and the Spirit, have the potential to completely change our circumstances and our lives. Both do exactly what natural rain does to the earth. It makes us prosper and it makes us victorious over the enemy and each and everything that comes against us.

See “Rainbow”

Raisins

Song of Solomon 2:5

Rake

See “Garden (Rake)”

Rape

In dreams and visions, rape symbolizes the aggressive, unfair and cruel attitude and acts of people in persuading other people of their spiritual viewpoints and beliefs. These kinds of people actually attempt to force people to believe and to accept their beliefs. Whenever a certain belief is firmly established in a person then it becomes permanently part of that person, it becomes “seed” in him. It becomes part of his DNA.

When such a person rapes another person in a dream he actually forcefully deposits his “seed” into that person which symbolizes him forcing his views on spiritual matters or non-spiritual matters onto such a person.

A person can carry good seed (true doctrines) in him or bad seed (false doctrines). They can deposit their seed into another person but it should be done with the other person’s consent.

Deuteronomy 33:27

The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

Also, read Numbers 5 and Josiah 29.

Symbols in dreams and visions that suggest some type of refuge (like an Old Testament refuge city) symbolizes us being safe in Christ Jesus, who is our refuge and our protection and our safe place. It speaks of a safe place where nobody can hurt us legally or illegally.

It is easy to understand that we can hide under the wings of God’s protection and nobody can do us any harm. It is another thing to realize that we hide in Christ even though we are guilty of all sorts of sins and crimes. All of us got a ticket out of hell because of what Jesus Christ did on that cross for us.

Reset button

A reset button symbolizes the detoxification of our minds. Like a computer, when it has crashed or no longer functioning correctly, we need to reset it by restarting it. Just as the memory ram need to be flushed (getting rid of junk) and start afresh, our minds also need to refresh by means of a restart. We need to refresh our memories with the pure and powerful word of God. The reset button symbolizes the meditation on the pure word of God. We need to load our hearts and our minds with the word of God. We need to allow that word to influence us and to set us free from the junk in our memories. We need to take every thought captive and submit it to the word of God. A reset brings fresh life.

A reset button can also symbolize God resetting situations in our lives. We sometimes struggle with issues and situations in our lives for a very long time. God sometimes reset our lives by getting rid of such issues and situations.

Revolver

Ephesians 6:16

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

A revolver shoots bullets (missiles or fiery darts or spears or arrows) which speak of words of criticism or discontent or unbelief or negativity. The enemy (evil spirits) uses other people to “shoot” us with words. People with critical spirits toward other people usually say negative things about them or to them. If you dream somebody shoots another person, with a rifle, it means that such a person is saying negative things to or about that person.

This happens when a person is offended, negative, frustrated, discontent or rebellious. When a person is killed in the dream, (by shooting him dead), it speaks of the relationship between those people coming to an end because of those negative and critical words of discontent. The bigger the firearm the more severe the words of criticism or discontent or unbelief or negativity.

In a positive sense, shooting people with a white revolver with white bullets symbolizes a person speaking words of victory, righteousness, faith, and holiness in the life of another person.

See “Revolver (Pointing to the left)” and “Revolver (Pointing to the right)” and “Revolver (Pointing down)” and “Revolver (Pointing up)” for a better understanding of this symbol.

Rhinoceros

A rhinoceros symbolizes a person with a strong power of tradition. Such people are very reluctant to change. They rather stick to old traditions and they resist any form of renewal. People with this attitude are very hard of hearing in a spiritual sense and because of their traditions they are very shortsighted. They easily become aggressive. The single horn of the rhinoceros speaks of such a person typically only interested in his own mindset and overpowering attitude when dealing with things. They usually attempt to solve problems or to achieve breakthroughs by means of their own ability to overpower others rather than through faith. Christians with this attitude attempt to achieve spiritual blessings by mind over matter instead of by faith.

Such people struggle to yield themselves to the Holy Spirit. Instead of praying for their enemies they rather treat them with “an eye for an eye” attitude.

A rose symbolizes the ministry of Jesus Christ, through sacrificial life and suffering, honoring God the Father. He is the Rose of Sharon.

Roses also speak of the church honoring Christ and God the Father through sacrificing and suffering.

See “Rose garden”

Running

Running is a more advanced and effective way of moving than walking in the kingdom of God. It makes you advance faster and it achieves spiritual results a lot faster than usual. People jumping higher than usual in dreams, whilst running (think of the triple jump in athletics), are advancing at an increased rate and effectiveness, resulting in these people overcoming natural limitations. This eventually leads to people starting to fly.

Jumping while running symbolizes the attempts of a person to operate and function in the supernatural. It speaks of them not getting off yet but it also indicates that they are progressing in their spiritual development. They will be able to fly in the near future if they persevere.

  1. Interesting how the Rape definition defines the “White Man” as the “truth” and the “Black Man” as “false” smh

    Reply
    • Hi Tiffany,
This is really interesting. It has nothing to do with race but everything to do with colors. See the meaning of the color “white” and the color “black” (Colors in dreams and visions). I explain it as follows in the Dreams Symbols Dictionary (See “Man White” and “Man Black” under “M”): A white man in dreams and visions symbolizes a person (with a message from God), of faith or victory or righteousness or holiness or truth. Please take note that in real life, in the kingdom of God, black people do not differ from white people at all. Black people are not evil and they are not Satan’s messengers. In dreams it is all about colors (See “Colors in dreams and visions)”. A black man (in a dream) may symbolize the situation in the life of a white man or a white woman or a black man or a black woman or any other race or gender who is spreading a false message of unbelief or a false doctrine. It has nothing to do with race or gender but everything to do with the authenticity of a message. It is not about race or racism. It is about the colors.
