Lighthouse Radio

Lighthouse Radio is an Internet station based in South Africa that has been launched, in partnership between Avishua and Lighthouse Ministries Int, for one singular purpose – to declare God’s uncompromising Truth and to shine His Light into a world that is broken, suffering and in need of the Lord’s love and beauty.

Lighthouse Radio runs 24 hours on Streema, Radio Forest, Sam Broadcaster, Simple Radio and Tune In, featuring various speakers (Afrikaans and English) and playing anointed worship. The emphasis, however, remains on the glory of God and not man, or any denominations church movement. It is purely on Jesus and His Truth and Way and Kingdom.

Lighthouse Radio believes that we are all one as as the holy priesthood in the Lord, and we are united by our love, commitment and dedication to the Lord Almighty – Jesus. It is not about being charismatic, Pentecostal, Methodist, Lutheran, Reformed or whatever our denomination, but is about being servants and disciples of the Most High Lord whose Kingdom shall last for all eternity.

After all, there is one faith, one Spirit, one Kingdom and one Truth and the King of kings and the Lord of lords remain our Lord Jesus. It is therefore time to preach Jesus, to exalt Him and to exalt His Kingdom above the kingdoms of man, above our own names, our own agendas or programmes and even our own ministries. This is what Lighthouse Radio is all about … committed, dedicated and loyal to the Kingdom of our Lord.

Lighthouse Ministries Discipleship Bible School

Only the Lord remains the answer, the solution, the hope, the glory and the redemption of all mankind. Unto Him belong all Glory, Dominion and Power!

The purpose and the intention of such study courses and training is for one reason and one reason only – to make disciples. This is in fulfilment of the Great Commission of Matthew 28 to go out and to make disciples.

It should also be noted that the courses carry the approval of the Fellowship of Christian Churches in Africa, known as the FCCA-International (Reg No.: 2010/006164/21). The FCCA currently consists of 240 churches and ministries in Africa, which some of its members ministering in 28 countries. The FCCA also runs an international Bible College. For more information on the FCCA visit https://www.fcca-int.com/

Even though the Certificate in Discipleship, the Diploma in Discipleship and the Bachelor’s Degree carries accreditation, our focus remains on making disciples. Thus those who seek the Kingdom and who wish to know more about discipleship. It is thus for one’s own benefit, but also to ultimately serve the Lord and His eternal Kingdom.

After all, the church is saturated with pastors, but there are few disciples. And so the Lord’s words of Matthew 9 rings true in verse 37 that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. And this is a huge problem, for every true follower of the Lord is firstly a son or daughter of the Most High, and then a disciple before he even walks in his or her calling or mandate. Thus every disciple, meaning those who follow the Lord no matter their levels of education of training, is called to be actively involved in the Kingdom, empowered by the inner manifestation of the Holy Spirit.

Yet, there is more than ever a growing misunderstanding and perceptive regarding what is true discipleship and how we are all called to be disciples and to make disciples. This means each and every follower of the Lord must be a disciple, and such a disciple must be able to share the Word be it in the form of preaching, teaching or evangelism, and that the disciples must go out and baptize and then also make other disciples. And yes, every disciple is called to lay hands on the sick and the spiritually oppressed. This is about relationship, about following, and about being led completely by the Lord in His Service.

It should also be noted, that for those who are interested to pursue training in accredited pastoral studies, please remember that being a pastor is a calling, not a job. A pastor is nothing more than an under-shepherd, looking after the flock under the complete guidance of the one and true Shepherd – our Lord Jesus. This calls for great responsibility. As mentioned, no matter your calling, first be a disciple, which is thus the call for all to first know the Lord and how to follow Him.

Lighthouse Ministries is thus only intending to equip and empower people to be disciples, thus to know what it means to be one and how to walk as a disciple.
