This week’s PRACTICAL DREAM ANALYSIS report is about a lady who had a dream about the restaurant where she works being swept away in a flood. Dream:
I had a dream in reference to my second job at a well-known food franchise. My dream starts with me walking through the front counter area. I saw 3 cashier stations, ice cream machine and coffee station. It was a busy day. A lot of people and co-workers. Its funny I could not see faces or remember what they wore.
I remembered being in uniform. Black skirt, black tights, gray visor, black shoes and gray/black polo shirt. From the drive thru window I could see it was going to be a stormy and rainy day. It was cloudy. All of the sudden the lights went out and then the restaurant became dimly lit. I felt water rushing beneath my feet. The water came from behind me. It was very fast moving water. It flooded the restaurant in a matter of seconds. Everyone drowned. I saw bodies floating the grayish water except for me. As the water rushed up. I floated up. As the water came to peak I was only able to see my face above the water. I felt I was alive but terrified because in real life I can’t swim. I didn’t know how much more I could stay afloat before drowning myself. Then the dream ended.

Dream Analysis:
The symbols in this dream are of a negative nature. The gray water flood, probably caused by the storm, speaks of very difficult circumstances or a very difficult situation suddenly coming into existence.
Gray is a mixture of white and black. White is good but black is negative and bad. This mixture speaks of these circumstances causing both good and negative results. Those who are drowning will not be able to handle (spiritually or emotionally) or survive these difficult circumstances. It will be very traumatic for them and they will suffer some kind of loss (maybe their jobs) because of these circumstances. You will be OK, although this “storm” will be a bit traumatic for you as well.
The fact that you could see through the serving window what the weather is going to be speaks of God giving you special spiritual insight into these circumstances before it happens.
The lights going out speaks of a lack of understanding about what is going on. Dimly lit speaks of soon thereafter only very limited understanding of what is going on will be revealed. People won’t know what to do in the midst of this storm because they will know very little of what is going on behind the scenes. The people owning the restaurant will probably be very secretive about the real facts behind the reasons for this “storm” or difficult circumstances. The water coming from behind indicates that it would have been a sudden, unexpected and nasty surprise if God did not warn you about it with this dream.
The fact that everything flooded within seconds speaks of these sudden circumstances quickly evolving into negatively impacting the lives of everybody involved.
This could be about your church congregation but my gut feeling says it is about your job and the restaurant where you are working. I think the owners’ financial situation is in a bad state but they are hiding it from everyone. Not sure though. Pray about this because it might be that God wants you to look for another job. Are you sure about having a second job?
Interpretation:
God gave you this dream to warn you. He gave you special insight into an event somewhere in the future in order to enable you to take action before it happens. He actually do not want you to be part of this or He wants you to be prepared for this so that you can handle the situation like He wants you to.
Conclusion:
I need to make it clear that all we can do is we can help people understand their dreams. We can help them with the basics. We help them with most of the interpretation but even after we have done that they still need to seek God’s face about the dream. They need to deal with issues and they need to sort out their responsibilities, actions and reactions in terms of the relevant dream or vision.
